Ans, Steel ruler is a equipment used for measuring straight lines in geometry, technical drawing, printing and engineering.

(स्टील पैमाना एक ऐसा उपकरण है जिसका प्रयोग ज्यामिति, तकनीकी ड्रॉइंग, प्रिंटिंग एवं इंजीनियरिंग में सीधी रेखाओं की माप लेने के लिए प्रयोग किया जाता है।)

Q.2. What is caliper? (कैलीपर क्या है?)

Ans. Caliper is equipment used for measuring distance between opposite sides of an object where it is not possible to measure directly by steel ruler. the types of caliper are adjusted to fit across the points to be measured and then caliper is removed . After that this distance is measured by ruler.

(कैलीपर एक ऐसा उपकरण है जो किसी वरस्तु के विपरीत सिरों के बीच की दूरी मापने के लिए वहाँ पर प्रयोग होता है जहां पर स्टील के पैमाने द्वारा माप लेना संभव नहीं होता। कैलीपर की नोक उन बिंदुओं पर फिट किया होता जहां की माप लेनी होती है और फिर कैलीपर को हटा लिया जाता है। इसके बाद दूरी को पैमाने से मापा जाता है।)

Ans. Screw gauge is an equipment which is used to take precise measurement of small distance. It works on the principle of a screw to amplify small distance that are too small to measure directly into large rotation of the screw. These rotations are big enough to read from a scale.
