Ans. These are the signs placed on roads to guide drivers and ensure proper functioning of road traffic. These are very important because of being unaware of road signs can lead to loss of life and property.

Q.6. What is the importance of fitness certificate? What is its validity?
(फिटनेस प्रमाण पत्र का क्या महत्त्व है? इसकी वैधता कितनी है?)
Ans. Under the provision of motor vehicle act, the registration of vehicle are treated as valid only if the vehicle has valid fitness certificate. In case of private vehicles, fitness certificate is valid for 15 years and after renewal for every 5 years. In case of commercial vehicles, it is issued for new vehicles it is valid for 2 years and subsequently renewed for one year.
( मोटर व्हीकल एक्ट के प्रावधान के अनुसार, वाहन का रजिस्ट्रेशन को वैध केवल तभी माना जाएगा जब वाहन के पास वैध फिटनेस प्रमाण पत्र होगा। निजी वाहनों के मामले में, यह फिटनेस प्रमाण पत्र केवल 15 वर्षों के लिए वैध होता है और प्रत्येक 5 साल में renew होता है। व्यापारिक वाहनों के मामले में, नए वाहनों के लिए यह दो वर्ष के लिए वैध होता है और प्रत्येक एक साल बाद लगातार रिनू होता है।)
