 Q.1.What is Wheel?(पहिया क्या है?)

Ans. Wheel is an assembly of hub, disk, rim, tyre and tube which not only support the weight of the vehicle but also protects it from road shocks.

पहिया हब, डिस्क, रिम, टायर एवं ट्यूब की एक असेंबली है जो कि केवल वाहन का भार ही नहीं ढोता बल्कि इसे सड़क के झटकों से भी बचाता है 

Q.2. What are the functions of wheel?(पहिये के क्या कार्य हैं?)

Ans. 1. It is strong enough to withstand the weight of the vehicle. 

(यह इतना मजबूत होता है कि वाहन का भार आसानी से सहन कर सके।)

2. It is flexible to absorb road shocks.

(यह सड़क के झटकों को सोखने के लिए लचीला हो।)

3. It is able to grip the road surface.

(यह सड़क के तल के पकड़ बनाने के योग्य हो।)

4. It is perfectly balanced statically and dynamically.

(यह स्थितिज और गतिज रूप से संतुलित हो।)

Q.3. What is rim? Tell about its types.(रिम क्या है? इसके प्रकार बताएं।)

Ans. In simple terms, a rim is the outer edge of a wheel that holds the tire.

 साधारण शब्दों में कहें तो रिम पहिये का बाहरी किनारा होता है जो  टायर को पकड़े रखता है।

Q.4.What are the essential properties of tyre? (टायर के आवश्यक गुणधर्म क्या हैं?)

Ans.  

1.         The tyre should grip the road well and not slip.
2.         The tyre should wear out evenly from all sides.
3.         The tyre must be strong enough to carry the weight of the vehicle.
4.         The tyre should make minimum sound while running.
5.         The tyre should stay balanced when standing still and while moving.  

1. टायर को सड़क पर अच्छी पकड़ बनानी चाहिए और फिसलना नहीं चाहिए।
2. टायर सभी तरफ से समान रूप से घिसना चाहिए।
3. टायर इतना मज़बूत होना चाहिए कि वह वाहन का भार उठा सके।
4. टायर चलते समय कम से कम आवाज़ करे।
5. टायर स्थिर और चलते समय संतुलित रहना चाहिए।

 

Q.5. Tell about the types of tyres.(टायर के प्रकार बताएं।)

Ans . There are three main types of tyres.

Solid Tyre:
It has no air, only solid rubber inside. Used in children’s cycles and small carts.

Tube Tyre:
It has a tube filled with air between the rim and tyre. Used in bikes and scooters.

Tubeless Tyre:

It has no tube inside. Used in modern cars. It leaks air slowly, gives good balance, is cheap, and easy to repair.

1. सॉलिड टायर:
   इसमें हवा नहीं होती, अंदर ठोस रबर भरा होता है। बच्चों की साइकिल और छोटे ठेलों में लगता है।

2. ट्यूब टायर:
   इसमें टायर और रिम के बीच हवा भरी ट्यूब होती है। यह बाइक और स्कूटर में लगता है।

3. ट्यूबलेस टायर:
   इसमें ट्यूब नहीं होती। यह कारों में लगता है। इसमें हवा धीरे निकलती है, बैलेंस अच्छा रहता है और मरम्मत आसान होती है।
